Saying he cannot send proofs before Saturday ("Engraving is eternal work"), and that Lady Hesketh's "copy of Cowper's letters ought to be printed in letters of Gold & ornamented with Jewels of Heaven Havelock Eden & all the countries where Jewels abound," and reflecting on the occupation of engraving: "I curse & bless Engraving alternately because it takes so much time & is so intractable. tho capable of such beauty & perfection."
